The IndiaAI FutureSkills Fellowship is a flagship initiative under India’s national IndiaAI Mission, run by the Independent Business Division (IBD) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The PG track is open to students from any discipline who are pursuing AI-related projects.

What the fellowship covers:

  • ₹2,00,000 in financial support for the project duration (up to 2 years for MTech/PG programmes)
  • ₹1,00,000 travel and accommodation grant for presenting at international AI conferences with h5 index > 100
  • Fellowship can supplement existing institutional scholarships (check latest guidelines)

Who is eligible:

  • Indian nationals only
  • Currently enrolled in a PG programme (1st–3rd semester at time of application)
  • Open across all disciplines: Engineering, Sciences, Medicine, Law, Business, Commerce, Arts
  • Minimum academic threshold: 80% in UG + 75% in PG
  • Must be working on an AI/ML-related project
